When working in Spotlight Sustain, you can use the AI Suggestions to determine the best targets and measures to use for your business. The AI Suggestions option uses details about your business, business priorities, local legislation and industry metrics to provide key suggestions and targets for your report.
When you use AI Suggestions, Spotlight Sustain uses information about your business to determine details such as industry averages. To ensure that this is as accurate as possible, you can set some basic details about the business within the organisation settings.
Note: When you create a new Spotlight Sustain organisation, you’ll be prompted to complete these details as part of setting up the organisation, however you can change them later if needed.
From the main Spotlight screen, click the three dots to the far right of the organisation name, then choose Settings.
Enter the following information about the business:
Note: While some of this information is optional, the more detail you provide, the better the suggestions generated will be.
Location - Enter the business location. Once you’ve entered three or more characters, you can choose the correct location from the list. Sector (optional) - Select the relevant sector. Industry (optional) - Select the industry. Number of Employees (optional)- Select the range that best reflects the number of employees Customer Type (optional) - Select the best description of the relationship between the business and its customers.
To save the changes, click Save.
To access AI Suggestions
Note: AI Suggestions are part of the Executive Summary page. If this page isn’t included in your report, or if you’d like to add a new copy, you can use the Add page option within the Build report tab to add a new Executive Summary page.
Within the Build report tab, click to customise the Executive Summary page.
From the right-hand side of the window, click the AI Suggestions button.
To build AI Suggestions
You can now provide some information about what is important to the business, which will help build out the AI Suggestions within the report. There are three sections where you can provide information.
Supply Chain
Select where your supply chain is located:
Local
Within 100km
National
Global
Digital
Regional (multi-country)
ESG Priorities
Set which of the options are first, second and third priority for the business:
Environment
People
Community
Governance
Carbon
ESG Motivations
Select the relevant check boxes to specify what the key motivations are for the ESG policies and measurs in the business. You can select as many options as you need.
Customer expectations
Business purpose
Competitve edge
Talent attraction
Save costs
Legal compliance
Brand reputation
Tender eligibility
Lower risks
Future focus
Once you’ve specified the options you need, to view the suggestions click Generate suggestions. The Executive overview and Recommendations sections are then completed with suggested goals, metrics and benchmarks based on your selections.
To edit your suggestions
Once the suggestions are included in your report, you can edit these as needed. If you’d prefer to edit the text directly, you can click into any text box and amend the text, using the formatting options within each section to format as needed.
If you’d like to automatically edit or reformat the suggestions, you can use the Edit with AI option.
In the required section, click Edit with AI.
From the bottom of the window, click the required option:
Shorter - Summarises the text into a concise version while keeping the original information. Longer - Creates additional commentary based on the original text. This version can include additional interpretations of the values and provide further insight. More professional - Uses a more formal writing style for your text.
Once the text is regenerated, you have several options:
Use this version - Insert the generated text into your report in its current format. Redo - Regenerate the text using the same parameters. More options - Regenerate the text using the Shorter, Longer, or More professional options.
You can create as many versions as you like, and compare the versions by scrolling between them on the Spotlight AI window.
Note: When you use the More options button, the change is applied to the last version of the text. For example, if you first select the Longer option and then choose More options > More professional, the text generated will be a more professional version of the longer text, not of the original text.
Once you've chosen the option you want, click Use this version.
